- Administer grantmaking for multiple Oregon Youth Works (OYW) programs and initiatives, through compliance, monitoring, data gathering, evaluating program outcomes and developing reports and methods to guide program operations.
- Provide leadership, support, and resources to multiple OYW programs, which may include Oregon Conservation Corps, Oregon Youth Corps, Oregon Youth Employment Program, along with other OYW grants and initiatives.
- Collaborate with OYW team members on implementing communications and marketing plans with the goal of increasing program awareness and visibility and representing the OYW programs.
- Develop, coordinate, and oversee the Request for Application process used to grant OYW funds, in partnership with fellow program staff.
- Provide grant applicants with guidance and technical assistance on needed revisions to meet grant application requirements.
- Work with program staff to evaluate, identify, and eliminate barriers to participation in grant opportunities.
- Conduct formal and informal monitoring of OYW grantees to evaluate program progress, compliance, and adherence to established standards.
- Conduct research and recommend best practices of grants management to current and potential grantees.
- Develop and implement monitoring tools and procedures that include applicable state and federal regulations and requirements related to program delivery.
- Notify youth programs across the state of new and ongoing funding opportunities and requirements for specific funding streams; and coordinate application process with funding streams.
- Communicate, interpret and explain program goals, grant guidelines, policies and objectives to agency staff, youth workforce program grantees and other interested community partners.
- Research, prepare, develop and lead formal presentations, including workshops to grantees and their interested community partners.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Education, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years' experience coordinating or administering a grant/program.
- Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience coordinating or administering a grant/program.
- Experience with complex grant administration that includes managing a large number of grantees and grant agreements.
- Experience with budget management including the tracking and management of multiple complex state and federal funding streams.
- Experience with applying an Equity lens and DEIA principles to grant administration and collaboration with programs and grantees.
- Experience with gathering, synthesizing, and reporting of quantitative and qualitative data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write effective, high quality, and informative public information for a wide variety of uses.
