About the Role

CareBridge Support Services is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Intake Specialist to support our healthcare/legal client services team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming clients, gathering necessary information, verifying documents, and helping guide individuals to the appropriate department or specialist. No legal or medical license required — training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound calls, emails, and referrals from new and existing clients.
  • Gather patient/client information, case details, and background history.
  • Enter and update client data into secure systems with accuracy.
  • Ask appropriate screening questions to determine eligibility or service needs.
  • Schedule appointments or consultations with specialists or attorneys.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA / privacy compliance guidelines.
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately at all times.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong communication and active listening skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive or personal information with professionalism.
  • Basic computer skills (typing, email, data entry).
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Customer service or call center experience is helpful, but not required.

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience in healthcare office, clinic, law firm, or customer support environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic records systems.
